Please read and understand the conditions before ordering a .RU / .SU domain.

Basic Information

Processing Time: All .RU / .SU domain orders are processed semi-automatically:  this means if all the required fields are entered correctly and our system doesn't determine that the order needs a manual review, it will be processed automatically and your domain will be registered within minutes upon successful payment. However, if for some reasons the order requires a manual review, the domain registration can take 1-2 business days, from the time the payment is successfully received.

Additional Information: In order to register a .RU or .SU domain, we're required by the registrar to provide extra information about our customers, those are: Passport Number, Citizenship, Date of Birth. In case you don't want to provide such information, we may use blank information to register your domain(s) .

No Refunds: Once the order is accepted and processed, the sale is final. There are absolutely NO REFUNDS for domain registration services.

Domain Nameservers: If you intend to use other than our own nameservers, MAKE SURE they meet all the requirements of DOMAIN DELEGATION CONDITIONS section found on this page. 

No Advanced Features: By default, there are no advanced features for .RU and .SU domains such as E-mail Forwarding, Domain/Web Forwarding and DNS Management. They are all available for extra price.

Order Rejection: We have the right to reject ANY domain order if we find the order suspicious or if the purchaser fails/delays to respond to our requests. In any such cancellation case we will issue a full-refund.

.RU / .SU Registration Policy

A domain name cannot be registered or a domain name registration can be cancelled in any of the following cases:

- The domain name has already been registered.

- The domain name does not meet any of the following requirements:

- a domain name ends in .ru characters; preceding part of a domain name must contain from 2 to 63 characters beginning with and ending in a character from the Latin alphabet or a digit; letters, digits and hyphens may be used in other positions in-between; it is not allowed to specify hyphens in the third and the fourth positions simultaneously;

- a domain name ends in .su characters; preceding part of a domain name must contain from 3 to 63 characters beginning with and ending in a character from the Latin alphabet or a digit; letters, digits and hyphen may be used in other positions in-between;

- a domain name starts with the characters xn-- which can be decoded using PUNYCODE into the letters, which are belong to only one of the used UNICODE tables; numbers and hyphens can also be used.

- the domain name must not contain words that are inconsistent with the public interest, principles of humanity, and public morals (in particular, obscenities and appeals of violent nature that offend human dignity or religious feelings etc.).

The domain name is a special domain name, i.e.:

- a second level domain name made up of two symbols;
- a domain name reserved in accordance with ICANN's recommendations:

A domain may only be delegated after receiving positive results of a validity check on the domain name servers (primary and secondary DNS servers) that, as specified by the Customer, hold the configuration files of the domain.

The DNS servers specified by the Customer must have reliable connection to the Internet. A "reliable connection" implies that the total time for which the server is not connected to the Internet does not exceed two hours a day. These servers must be maintained in conformity with the requirements of the international standards RFC-1032, RFC-1033, RFC-1034, RFC-1035 and RFC-1591. If positive results of the validity check on the domain name servers are not received within 4 (four) days, the check is ceased.

The information on domain name servers must correspond to the current state of the network.

Standard procedure of DNS-server testing

Standard testing procedure of DNS-server is launched when registering a new domain name in the RU zone or while automatic modification of the domain data (in case the server list in the request is not empty).

The tests are being conducted for four days every three hours until the first successful test. Testing is considered successful, if all DNS-servers listed in the request meet the requirements of Domain Delegation Conditions

If the zone is not completely tested within four days, the testing is terminated.
In this case:

If a new domain name is registered, domain name activation does not occur.
In case an attempt is made to edit domain name data, the DNS-servers list is not replaced. The domain name remains activated with an old DNS-servers list.

The list of DNS-servers under the testing process and the list of DNS-servers, contained in the database, can be viewed in the 'Manage your account' section by clicking the link 'View and modify data', and after that choosing the domain name registration service.

Step-by-step procedure for DNS-server testing

In the event of a test failure under any paragraph, an error message is sent.

1. The IP address is specified for each DNS-server in the list: first by TCP protocol, then by UDP protocol.
2. It is necessary to verify whether the specified DNS-server name is not a synonym (CNAME).
3. A SOA-record for the present domain name is being requested from each DNS-server, specified in the request, and from each of its IP addresses, first by UDP, then by TCP.
SOA-records in all DNS-servers must be identical, the answer must be authorized.
4. The accuracy of the contact e-mail address in the SOA-record is being verified.
5. DNS-servers lists for a domain name, received from all DNS-servers, are being compared to the list specified in the request. These lists must be identical. and also the recommendations of DNS-servers field filling. After each unsuccessful testing attempt an appropriate error message is sent to the address, listed in the Service Agreement ('mnt-nfy' field).

- To delegate the domain to RU-zone and SU-zone you should have at least two DNS-servers (Primary and Secondary DNS), which are supposed to support the delegated domain.
